Coming up January-March 2017

 Thesis
I'll be performing my thesis on January 28th and 29th at 7pm at 855 Commonwealth Ave. My thesis asks what it means to be a "strong woman" and what expectations we place on both men and women because of societal gender roles. Through ten-two minute pieces I break apart double standards and show that even the most extreme situations are usuallly caused by a traumatic event or series of continual traumatic events. People often dismiss context because it's easier to call a woman "crazy" or a man "overemotional" than asking what/who got her to that point or listen to what he is feeling.
